Stead Park Recreation Center

The scope of work for the Project will be divided into two phases: (i) Preconstruction Phase; and (ii) The Construction Phase. 1. Recreation Center Renovation The existing Stead Park Recreation Center building will be renovated to accommodate the Department of Parks & Recreation’s growing programming needs. The new recreation center will include a fitness center, multipurpose rooms, restrooms, a large gathering space, offices and a balcony. Several of the building’s elements will be below grade. 2. Net Zero and LEED Gold Certification. The new building will be both Net Zero and LEED Gold certified. The approved design includes several elements, such as photovoltaic panels, to achieve this goal. Achieving both Net Zero and LEED Gold certification is a project requirement. 3. Outdoor Spaces. The approved design includes renovations to the outdoor spaces to the south of the building. The renovations will improve the building’s connections to P Street. 4. Spray Park Renovation. The existing spray park to the east of the building will be renovated and upgraded. 5. Playground Renovation. The existing playground to the east and south of the building will be renovated and upgraded.

Division 09 -	Finishes, Plaster and Gypsum Board, Ceilings, Flooring, Painting and Coating.
Division 21 -	Fire Suppression.
Division 22 -	Plumbing.
Division 23 -	Heating, Ventilating, and Air Conditioning (HVAC), Instrumentation and Control for HVAC, HVAC Air Distribution.
Division 26 -	Electrical, Lighting.
