Description | SUNY Schenectady (College) is accepting proposals from Cisco-certified, qualified contractors to provide materials and service necessary to replace the IT Network Infrastructure for the College. Proposals shall cover all labor and materials to perform services in conformity with this Request for Proposals (RFP). The Successful Bidder will be required to provide all the Network equipment stated, installation services, licenses, and other equipment necessary to support the equipment requested. The Successful Bidder will work with the College’s Department of Information Technology Services and will be overseen by the Chief Informational Officer and the Director of IT Operations. The project scope shall include the following; 1. The use of all CISCO Manufactured products as requested by the College, or the newest CISCO version available at the time of installation for said products. 2. Replacement of current optic fiber cables inside Elston Hall and Network Access Switches to improve the IT Network connectivity and permit network expansion. 3. Installation and configuration of two (2) Core Switches, and three (3) Network Core Access switches, along with the requested support components required by the College. This shall include migration from the current core infrastructure to upgrade the current system. 4. Replace the current wireless system to a CISCO Meraki Wireless system. The Bid is to include the installation of the Access Points, and the removal of the current Access Points. 5. Replacement of the current firewall (network security system) and the Installation of a CISCO ASR Firewall. 6. Respond to specific issues, and make recommendations about modifications to the Network when requested by the Director of IT Operations. 7. Notify the Director of IT Operations of supply chain issues, or potential supply chain issues, and work out potential solutions or alternatives as they arise. 8. Ensure that all required software licensing is in place, and that all documentation is provided to the Director of IT Operations. 9. Ensure that the change over from the current network to the new network is coordinated with the Director of IT Operations, and the Department of Technology Services, at an agreed time and date to insure no break in service. 10. Provide one year of technical support from the date of completion. |
