East Hillsdale and Foster City Boulevards Median Refurbishment - PK-04 - City of Foster City

Foster City has multiple median islands that are outdated and do not irrigate efficiently. Over time, the approach to grading, planting, and maintaining median islands has changed as the desire to conserve resources has increased. Over that same time, irrigation products and systems have also improved efficiency. In addition, landscape plantings need to be replaced as they age out over time. This renovation project will refresh the plantings and improve the efficiency in the use of water and labor to maintain the systems on the East Hillsdale Boulevard median between Shell Boulevard and Foster City Boulevard and the Foster City Boulevard median from East Hillsdale Boulevard to Balclutha Drive. This Project Is Included in the City of Foster City's FY 2022 - 2023 Capital Improvement Plan (CIP). Per the owner, as of May 24, 2023, design and construction is anticipated in 2024-2025. The owner states that they do not have a timeline as to when a design team will be selected. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change. The content management team will continue to pursue additional details as they become available.
