Rehabilitate Natural Science Building - Purchase College

As of September 27, 2023, an architect has been selected. The project is currently in design and in the municipal approvals process. Schematic design is expected to concluded in fall of 2023. A firm timeline for construction has not been established. *The previous solicitation is listed below for reference. --- The State University Construction Fund (the Fund) is seeking Statements of Qualifications from consultants to provide design services through the Schematic Design Phase for the comprehensive phased renovation of the Natural Science Building (approximately 108,000 square feet). Design services for the full project, including phasing documents, shall completed to the Schematic Design Phase level. Upon Schematic Phase approval by the Fund, services would likely commence for the design and construction of a Phase 1 portion of the project. The project will include full replacement of all interior finishes and components, all MEP systems, laboratory casework and exhaust systems, roof and elevator, as well as the abatement of hazardous materials. Consultant will be required to determine the optimum phasing of construction based on available funding and potential surge space. The building design and all new components and systems will comply with the new SUCF Directive 1B-2, Net Zero Carbon New Buildings and Deep Energy Retrofits of Existing Buildings. Design services will initially proceed though Schematic Design Phase level. Upon review, evaluation and approval by the Fund, the remainder of the project may be released for continuation of Design Services.
