Description

**As of November 21, 2022, this project has been awarded to McClure and Sons, Inc., in the amount of $3,238,504.03. The major items of work to be accomplished for this project con-sist of modifications and additions to the City of Marysville's Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTIP), including but not limited to the following: 1. Measures ibr temporary erosion and sediment. control. 2. Asphalt; pavement demolition. and repair. 3. Furnishing and installing a precast concrete vault, including associated demolition of the existing 36-inch secondary effluent. (SE) pipeline, excavation, shoring, dewatering, connection of the existing 36-inch SE pipeline to the vault, backfill, compaction, and. surface restoration. 4. Furnishing and installing a trash rack, band screen, and grating in the precast concrete vault. 5. Furnishing and installing a screenings compactor, including associated drain piping and concrete pad with excavation and sub-grade preparation. 6. Furnishing and installing a new screen control panel including connecting power and control between the new panel and the new screen, compactor, level transmitters, solenoid valves, and flow meters; connecting power to the panel from MCCo450; and net-working the PLC with CP-450. 7. Constructing a new concrete pad with drain piping for placement of a screenings dumpster including excavation and subgrade preparation. 8. Furnishing and installing two-piece mechanical plugs to isolate the flow path between Manholes #1 and #2. 9. Furnishing and installing new non-potable water piping to provide water service to the new screen and compactor included associated trenching, backfill, compaction, surface restoration, heat tracing, and insulation. 10, Providing a new suction pipeline off the existing filter feed pumps discharge header to supply lagoon effluent, to the new strainer booster pump including associated fittings, pipe penetrations, valves, supports, trenching, backfilling, compaction, and surface restoration, 11. Furnishing and installing a new strainer booster pump including associated valves and instruments. 12. Furnishing and installing two new automatic strainers including associated backwash booster pump, piping, fittings, valves, and instruments. 13. Constructing a new concrete pad. for placement, of the strainer booster pump, automatic strainers, and backwash booster pump including excavation and subgrade preparation. 14. Constructing a new electrical shelter including lighting, excavation, subgrade preparation, and concrete foundation. 15. Providing a new strain-er discharge header to the filter influent channel for discharge of strained lagoon effluent to the existing sand. filters including associated fittings, pipe penetrations, valves, and pipe supports. 16. Furnishing and installing a new strainer control panel including connecting power and control between the new panel and the new automatic strainers and backwash booster pump, connecting power to the panel from MCC-450, and networking the PLC with CP-450. 17. Furnishing and installing a new VFD for the strainer booster pump including a concrete equipment pad, enclosure, connecting power from existing MCC-450, connecting power and controls between the VFD to the strain-er booster pump, and connecting controls to the new screen control panel. 18. Furnishing and installing a new air gap local control panel with remote I/O, VFDs for each air gap pump, and pressure transmitter switch device for control of the air gap pumps. 19. Furnishing and installing yard lighting. 20. Additional programming to the new local strainer control panel PLC by the Systems Integrator to control the strainer booster pump and integrate new instruments. 21. Programming within the existing CP-450 PLC to modify control of existing gates. 22. Programming within the Filter Reject Control Panel PLC to add remote control of the air gap pumps. 23. Modify the existing SCADA programming to integrate the new equipment. and processes. 24. Connecting and networking the new strainer control panel PLC and the new screen control panel PLC with the existing CP-45() PLC. 25. Connecting and networking the new air gap control panel remote I/O with the existing network cabinet, in the Lab Building. 26. Conduct startup and testing of the new screening, straining, and air gap systems. All work must be completed in accordance with the Contract Documents and the Contractor must comply with all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations. Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check, cashiers check, or bid bond (with an authorized surety company as sure-ty) made payable to the City of Marysville in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the bid amount.
