Description | As of October 21, 2022, the project has been awarded. A timeline for construction has not been confirmed. Documents posted on ConstructConnect are for viewing purposes only, if a bidder wants to be considered they must purchase documents directly from The City of Greensboro. The Contract consists of approximately 2,030 linear feet of new 12-inch ductile iron water line along Sandy Ridge Road in Greensboro, NC. The new Sandy Ridge Road water line will be connected to an existing 12-inch water line at the intersection of W. Market Street and Sandy Ridge Road, extending north along Sandy Ridge Road, connecting to an existing 12-inch ductile iron water line at the intersection of Farrington Road and Sandy Ridge Road. A more expansive summary of work can be found in Section 01 11 13 Summary of Work. Sealed proposals and MWBE documentation (Affidavits and Good Faith Efforts) must be submitted on the blank forms provided and as specified in the bound copies of the contract documents. This is a bifurcated bid process. Therefore, the Proposal and MWBE documentation shall be enclosed in two different sealed envelopes addressed to Mr. John Fersner, Engineering Division, 300 West Washington Street, Suite 322, Greensboro, North Carolina 27401. No proposal shall be considered or accepted by the City unless at the time of its filing the same shall be accompanied by a five percent bid security as indicated in the Instructions to Bidders. A separate performance bond and payment bond each in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price will be required of the Successful Bidder following award of the Contract by the City. Consideration will be given only to proposals submitted by contractors licensed in the state of North Carolina under the Contractors Licensing Act of 1925 or as amended. The City reserves the right to waive any informality or to reject any or all bids or to award such contract as in its judgment is deemed to the best interest of the City. *Information regarding subcontractor bidding has not been disclosed to the content management team at this time.
