Description | The work of this 345-calendar day project consists, in general, of furnishing all labor, materials, appliances, tools, equipment, transportation, services and supervision required to rehabilitate two existing sanitary sewer lift stations and performing all associated work, all in accordance with the Contract Documents. D06P is to remain a lift station and be rehabilitated, and D10P is to be converted into a gravity pipeline. D06P work includes abandonment and demolition of the existing force main, structure demolition, electrical demolition, wet well structure improvements and raising to grade, replacement of electrical and mechanical equipment, mechanical piping, upgrading control systems to provide a complete and functional lift station. D10P work includes demolition and abandonment of the existing force main, electrical demolition, mechanical demolition, installation of new concrete structures, installation of gravity piping to provide a complete and functional gravity sewer line in accordance with these documents. A California Class A contractor's license is required to bid this Contract. Joint ventures must secure a joint venture license prior to award of this Contract. No contractor or subcontractor may be listed on a bid proposal or awarded any contract for the project unless registered with the Department of Industrial Relations (DIR) pursuant to Labor Code section 1725.5, with limited exceptions from this requirement for bid purposes only under Labor Code section 1771.1(a). Bidders who fail to contact Sean McKiernan 48 hours prior to the scheduled date and time may not be eligible to participate in the tour. This project is subject to compliance monitoring and enforcement by the Department of Industrial Relations. This contract is subject to prevailing wage provisions, as specified in Document 00100, Invitation to Bid, and Document 00200, Instructions to Bidders, of the Project Manual. For further information pertaining to the pre-Bid conference and Site tours, and for information pertaining to other requirements of this project, including the Port's Non-Discrimination and Small/Local Business Utilization Policy, insurance requirements, bonds, Maritime and Aviation Project Labor Agreement, please refer to Document 00100, Invitation to Bid, of the Project Manual.
