Description | Project Length: Part I: 1.6 mi; Part II: 4 intersections Part I: Athens-Campus Transportation Improvements Part II: Athens Campus Transportation Signal Improvements This bid requires licensed and bonded General Contractor as required by the Contractor's Licensing Act of 1994 of the General Assembly of the State of Tennessee, and qualified for the type of construction being bid upon. The City of Athens reserves the right to reject any and all responses or waive any informalities and to accept any proposal deemed to be in the best interest of the City. No bidder may withdraw a bid within 60 days after the actual date of the opening thereof. All questions related to the Proposal Contract, Plans, Specifications or Special Provisions shall be directed to the ATHENS PUBLIC WORKS, ATTN: KEVIN HELMS (423-744-2700). Information received from other offices of the CITY OF ATHENS, TENNESSEE strictly advisory. The proposed construction shall be performed in accordance with the most current version of the Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction of the Tennessee Department of Transportation , and the Standard Roadway and Structures Drawings of the Tennessee Department of Transportation which are incorporated herein by reference and made a part hereof. In addition, only the Special Provisions contained within the applicable Proposal Contract will be considered binding. Any reference to any Special Provision not contained within the applicable Proposal Contract shall be disregarded.
