Sidewalk Improvements at Various Locations

Furnish all labor, equipment, material and insurance necessary to perform all sidewalk, driveway apron, curb, drop curb, handicap corner ramp replacement/repairs. This work includes but is not limited to sawcutting, excavation to desired subgrade, removal and disposal of damaged sidewalk flags, curbs and aforementioned items, mechanical compaction of subgrade, placement of 6” of NYSDOT item 304.11 base material, mechanical compaction of base material, setting forms, pouring, finishing, curing concrete, stripping forms for sidewalks, driveway aprons, concrete curbs and handicapped corner ramps. Areas disturbed by this work are to be fully restored at a minimum to their previous condition, including but not limited to final grading, topsoil and seeding. If winter concrete mix is to be used, admixtures, surface protection such as concrete blankets and/or hay is to be provided at no additional cost to the City. All Concrete to be used must be Ready-Mix. All work is to be done in accordance with the City of New Rochelle’s standard details for the respective items. All Locations vary in quantity and condition. Sidewalks are ranked Red, Yellow, and Green. Red being the worst condition, yellow being average condition, and green being good condition with no deforms or tripping hazard. The City Prefers that all sidewalks in red condition to be completed first.
