Description

Professional Engineer, registered in the State of Florida, to provide Construction Engineering and Inspection (CEI) and Geotechnical Services, for the Phase 1 and Phase 2 of the E-3 Canal Improvement project. The construction activities included in the Phase 1 and Phase 2 of the E-3 Canal Improvements project consist of, but is not limited to, the installation of piping, drainage manholes and inlets, concrete endwalls, earthwork, riprap stabilization measures, pre- and post-construction videos, participation in a public informational meeting and other necessary activities as depicted in the Approved for Construction plans titled “E-3 Canal Improvements”. Additional items include sodding of all disturbed areas, clearing and grubbing, hauling and disposal of unsuitable materials, turf reinforcement mats, providing construction and as-built surveys, installation of stormwater protection measures including but not limited to silt fences and turbidity curtains, and complying with all permits, including but not limited to the Army Corps of Engineers and the South Florida Water Management District permits for this project, and any Contractor obtained, NPDES and/or Dewatering permits as necessary, and any other activities as depicted in the Approved for Construction Plans. The contractor will also be responsible for any costs with and coordination associated with obtaining the right to utilize private properties, bordering or in close proximity, to the project area for site access and construction activities required to construct a complete product as depicted in the Approved for Construction Plans. City Staff can be available to help in the coordination efforts between the Contractor and private property owners. Accompanying and part of this RFQu is a sample contract which includes details related to the terms and conditions of doing business with the City. The proposed contract would be completed with data provided in a successful response to this RFQu.
