Akron PWS Regionalization Project 2019

This project shall provide water service connections to connect Public Water Systems currently fronting active City of Akron PWS water mains and eliminate 11 public water systems in Copley Township, Coventry Township, Cuyahoga Falls, Kent, and Springfield Township. The work shall be both within the right-of-way and on private property and will contain, but not be limited to tapping active water mains and installing new water service connections, installing curb boxes, installing water meters and backflow prevention devises, installing water service lines on private property, abandoning existing water wells, directional boring, excavation and backfilling, and asphalt, concrete, and grass restoration. Contractors will also be required to coordinate all activities with City of Akron Water Distribution, obtain all proper permits, and restore the site in a timely manner. Traffic will be maintained at sites where street openings and work within the right-of-way will occur.
