Description

The Purpose of This Project is to Preserve the Existing Roadway and to Provide a New Wearing Course on Approximately 12.971 Miles of Highway 65 in Desha and Drew Counties. This Project Consists of Four Paving Alternates, Three Using Hot-in-place Asphalt Concrete with an Overlay of: 1) Achm Surface Course (3/8"), or 2) Microsurfacing, or 3) Ultrathin Bonded Wearing Course or the Fourth Alternate 4) Mill and Overlay with Achm Surface Course (1/2"). In Addition to the Alternate Items, This Project Consists of Aggregate Base Course, Cold Milling Asphalt Pavement, Achm Patching of Existing Roadway, Maintenance of Traffic, Rumble Strips, Pavement Marking, and Misc. Items. Routes: 65 Sections: 18 & 19 County: Desha & Drew Length : 12.971 miles in length. The Successful Bidder Will Be Required to Complete This Contract on or Before November 21, 2023. Questions Pertaining to Projects During the Advertisement Period Should Be Addressed to the Program Management Division at Pmd@ardot.gov. the Deadline to Submit a Question Is the Wednesday Prior to the Scheduled Letting Date. a Question Submitted After the Close of Business on the Wednesday Prior to the Scheduled Letting Date May Not Receive a Response. In Order to Have a Bid Considered, Contractors Must Furnish a Proposal Guaranty Consisting of Either a Bidder's Bond or a Certified or Cashier's Check in the Amount of Five Percent (5%) of the Total Amount Bid. in Order for a Bond to Be Acceptable to the Department, the Company Issuing the Bond Must Be Named in the Department of Treasury Listing of Companies Holding Certificates of Authority as Acceptable Sureties on Federal Bonds and as Acceptable Reinsuring Companies. the Underwriting Limitation of the Bonding Company Shall Be Adhered to. Any Excess (Between the Face Amount of the Bond and the Underwriting Limitation) Shall Be Protected by Reinsurance Provided by an Acceptable Reinsuring Company. These Contracts Are Subject to Normal Prequalification, Licensing and Bonding Requirements, Applicable Labor Laws, Non-discrimination Provisions, Wage Rate Laws and Other Federal Laws Including the Fair Labor Standards Acts of 1938. the Work Hours Act of 1962 and Title Vi of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 Also Apply.
