Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) Improvements - Submersible Solids Handling Pumps

Wharton-Smith is the Construction Manager at Risk who is soliciting proposals and assuring that MBE and WBE firms are used, when possible, for the City of Punta Gorda Wastewater Treatment Plant Improvements 2022. Please advise Wharton-Smith should your office require special accommodations with bonding or insurance. Bid packages available to bid on include sitework, concrete, mechanical, roofing, doors & hardware, overhead doors, paint & coatings, metal building systems, HVAC, electrical, geotechnical improvements, instrumentation & controls, prestressed concrete tanks, stainless steel slide gates, rotary screw blowers, axially split case pumps, end suction process pumps, double disc pumps, submersible solids handling pumps, submersible axial flow pumps, step screens, variable-speed submersible mixers, secondary clarifier equipment, coarse bubble diffusers, flexible membrane disc diffuser, and emergency generator/fuel tank. Bidders shall address all questions and request clarification for a Solicitation Package to the Purchasing Agent. Questions shall be submitted via email, fax or hard copy and shall be received by the question and clarification deadline stated above (or as may be amended by Addenda). All answers to questions submitted will be published and answered in a manner that all bidder will be able to view. WAIVER OF RIGHTS. Failure to post a question or request for clarification by the established date and time shall constitute a waiver of the Bidders rights to protest the Solicitation Package, inclusive of addenda. City's Reserved Rights a) The City reserves the right to 1) waive formalities in any solicitation, 2) reject any or all responses in whole or in part with or without cause; 3) reject any submittal package having the appearance of unbalanced bidding in unit prices; and/or 4) accept the bid that, in its judgment, will be in the best interest of the City. The City specifically reserves the right to reject any conditional response and will normally reject those, which make it impossible to determine the true amount of the response. c) The City reserves the right to compare prices of all submittal packages with contracts established by other entities or national cooperatives, which may result in the rejection of all submittal packages or make award based on this solicitation package whichever is deemed to be in the best interest of the City.
