Description | The Brockton Housing Authority, the Awarding Authority, invites sealed bids for Federal High-Rise ADA Doors & Operators in accordance with the documents prepared by TBA Architects, Inc., 9 Damonmill Sq., Ste 5C, Concord, MA 01742. Project consists of but not limited to: Replacement and installation of new ADA door operators and entry storefronts at 24-3 Manning Tower, 24-7 Caffrey Towers, and 24-8 Sullivan Tower . Work will be in occupied spaces. The work being varied the project will require a General Contractor who and will perform all the work required for the storefront, doors, and electric operators. The work is estimated to cost approximately $120,000.00. DCAMM certification is NOT required. Bids are subject to M.G.L. c.149 44A-J & to minimum wage rates as required by M.G.L. c.l49 26 to 27H inclusive. Davis Bacon Wages apply. This deposit will be refunded for up to two sets for General Bidders and for one set for Sub-bidders upon return of the sets in good condition within thirty days of receipt of general bids. Otherwise the deposit shall be the property of the awarding authority. Bidders requesting Contract documents be mailed to them shall include a separate check for $40.00 per set for UPS Ground (or $65.00 per set for UPS overnight), payable to BidDocsOnline, to cover mailing costs. General bidders shall be licensed and insured for work in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts; skilled in similar scope of work to that described in the documents; and have references for similar submitted on the provided reference form. Each general bidder must submit a completed HUD 5369-A Representations, Certifications and other Statements of Bidders and a completed HUD 2530 Previous Participation Schedule with their bid. Filed sub-bids are not required. General Bids must be accompanied by a bid deposit which shall not be less than five (5%) of the greatest possible bid amount and made payable to the Brockton Housing Authority. The Brockton Housing Authority reserves the right to waive any informalities in or reject any and all bids or to waive any informalities in the bidding. No bid shall be withdrawn for a period as stated in the supplemental conditions, after approval of the award by the Brockton Housing Authority without written consent of the Brockton Housing Authority.
