Description | Replace the Rockbridge County Administration Building roof. The project will be a turnkey operation. The administration facility is located at 150 South Main Street, Lexington, VA 24450. 1. Remove existing, fully-adhered 60 mil black EPDM single-ply roof system, including insulation and areas of asphalt build-up, down to the wood deck on the front and down to the light weight concrete deck on the back-roof section. Removal of all roof debris will be the responsibility of the Contractor. 2. New insulation to be Carlisle, or equal, 2.5” isocyanurate base layer and 2” isocyanurate top layer, secured to the deck with insulation plates and manufacturer’s approved fasteners. 3. Carlisle, or equal, fully adhered 60 mil black EPDM single-ply membrane roofing system. All perimeter walls will be covered up and over with new EPDM membrane. EPDM sheets are to have 3” pre-applied seam tape. 4. Replacement metal will be Kynar 500, 30-year pre-finished, maintenance-free 24-gauge steel shop fabricated coping cap-color chosen from manufacturer’s standard colors by owner. 5. The new roof will be covered under a manufacturer’s 20- year total systems warranty which will include a minimum 72 MPH wind rating. 6. At front roof section, 1/2” per foot tapered isocyanurate cricket to be installed along both drainage perimeter walls which will carry water to the two (2) thru-wall drainage scuppers on each wall. 7. Protective walk pads to be installed at the elevator access door to the roof access ladder, under any support equipment and at the service doors of roof top equipment. |
