Description | Owner reserves the right to accept or reject any bid or waive any informality or error in bidding for a period of 60 days from bid opening date. METHOD OF BIDDING All work for the complete construction of the Sugar Grove Elementary School Addition and Renovation will be bid under eight (8) prime contract bids, as follows: 1. BP-01 Site Work 2. BP-02 General Trades 3. BP-03 Structural Steel 4. BP-04 Roofing 5. BP-05 Mechanical & Plumbing 6. BP-06 Fire Protection 7. BP-07 Electrical, Technology & Lighting 8. BP-08 Food Service Equipment Bids shall be based on a "stipulated sum" basis in full accordance with Bidding Documents prepared by LANCER ASSOCIATES ARCHITECTURE, 427 South College Ave, Suite 103, Indianapolis, IN 46203. PREPARATION AND SUBMISSION OF BIDS Bids shall be executed on State Form 96 and Supplementary Proposal Form included in the Project Manual. Bids shall be accompanied by AIA Document A305 Contractor's Qualification statement. Bids shall be accompanied by Contractor's Financial Statement specific LEGALS enough and in such detail so that the Owner can make a proper determination of the Bidder's capability for completing the project if awarded. A Bid security in the form of AIA Document A310, a certified check, Indiana General Revised Form No. 86, "Contractors Combination Bid Bond and Bond for Construction" or a form from an acceptable surety shall accompany each bid. The bid security shall be in the penal amount of 5% of the total bid price and made payable to the Owner. Bids shall be accompanied by the Contract Responsibility Certification (reference specification section 00 21 13) Should Bidder withdraw his bid within 60 days from bid opening date without written consent of the Owner or fail to execute a satisfactory contract with the Owner, the Owner may declare the bid security forfeited as liquidated damages. Prior to execution of the Contract, Bidder shall furnish Performance Bond and Payment Bond in the amount of 100% of the Contract Sum. Bonds shall remain in full force and effect for 12 months from date of acceptance of the work. TIME OF COMPLETION Bidders shall state completion time along with their bid. Commence Work within 48 hours after signing contract or receiving a notice to proceed, and complete Work ready for completion as follows: Substantial Completion: July 31, 2024 Final Completion: September 30, 2024 OTHER PROVISIONS The Center Grove Community School Corporation does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, gender, national origin, age, or individuals with disabilities, including limited English proficiency, in its programs or employment policies as required by the Indiana Civil Rights Act (I.C. 22-9.1), Title VI and VII (Civil Rights Act of 1964), the Equal Pay Act of 1973, Title IX (Educational Amendments), and Section 504 (Rehabilitation Act of 1973).
