Description | 1.Installation of a complete Wet Type NFPA 13 Fire Suppression System for above ground structure. 2.Contract to start at 6” flange located in mechanical room, above finished floor and out to Wet System. 3. Fire Riser complete to include state improved double check backflow assembly w/tamper switches on control valves, flexible couplings at base and top of riser assembly, flow switch, fire dept. connection “FDC” piped to exterior in an acceptable location AHJ, main drain piped to exterior and exterior electrical weather proof horn strobe outside riser room at required height and location. 4. Design complete system including shop drawings (with a min. 1/8” = 1’), hydraulic calculations with min. 10% safety factor, hydrant flow test per NFPA 291, designed for Ordinary Hazard Grp. II (building not to be used for storage, but fir archery with minimal combustibles). Design to follow the requirements of NFPA 13, 2013 edition. Shop drawings and calc’s to be approved by owner and AHJ prior to ant fabrication or installation and approved plans to be onsite at all times. 5. Piping requirements, 1” thru 2” to be black steel schedule 40 pipe and schedule 10 for 2-1/2” and larger. Piping to be rated for sprinkler systems with mic shield coated piping. Piping to run true and straight and auxiliary pipe not meeting these requirements will be replaced at contractor’s expense unless prior arrangements are made. 6. Hanging and bracing to follow NFPA 13 spacing requirements. 7. Fire Sprinkler System components and sprinkler heads to be UL listed and approved for fire sprinkler systems. Sprinklers for open decking to be brass and sprinklers for finished ceilings to be white with recessed white escutcheons. 8. Acceptance testing including 2-hr 200lb Hydrostatic test to be witnessed by AHJ. System to be free of any foreign objects and shall pass the 2-hr test and be free from any leaks at time of acceptance. Final testing shall also be performed with AJH and owner. 9. Contractor shall warranty complete Fire Suppression system of any defects or workmanship for the period of 1 year from date system is left in service and turned over to owner. |
