Furnish County Highway 8 Bridge Floor System Replacement Project

The County is proposing to replace all of the existing Core-Ten steel components except the pony trusses (floor beams, stringers, connection angles, etc.), as well as the actual bridge deck, which will consist solely of lightweight concrete, and not receive asphalt surface treatment. The County will close the road during the course of construction operations, via an off-site detour. The contracted portion of the project shall include, but not necessarily be limited to: demolition, removal, and disposal of the existing asphalt concrete deck & steel pan, all of the existing Core-Ten steel components (floor beams, stringers, connection angles, etc.); and furnish and install new galvanized steel superstructure components (floor beams, stringers, connection angles, etc.), elastomeric bearings, and placement of SIP forms and lightweight concrete deck.
