Description

A timeline for award has not yet been established.** No bid may be withdrawn within sixty (60) days after the scheduled closing time for receipt of Bids. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all Bids; to waive irregularities in the Bids; to award bids based on individual items, groups of items, or on the entire list of items; and to accept the bid that is in the best interest of the City. Questions concerning the CONTRACT DOCUMENTS will be directed to Matthew Movahed (mmovahed@ldaengineering.com) and copied to Lyn Majeski (lmajeski@oakridgetn.gov). All questions will be answered by issue of an addendum. The cutoff time for all questions is 10:00 a.m. on November 10th, 2022. Any questions submitted after this time may be unanswered. All Bidders must be licensed Contractors as required by the Contractor's Licensing Act of 1994. Bidder's name, address, license number, expiration date and that part of classification which applies to the Project(s) and the name, address and licensing information for Masonry, Plumbing, HVAC and Electrical Contractors must be on the sealed envelope containing the executed Bid Proposal. All required items must be listed, with any item(s) that are not applicable to the Project in accordance with the Regulations to be marked "not applicable to this project". In compliance with the act, sealed envelopes will not be opened unless all required information is properly displayed. Contractor must comply with all "Drug Free Requirements" and the "Iran Divestment Act" and the "No Boycott of Israel." All Bidders must comply with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, as amended. The work is for as-needed sewer utility services upon request of the City. The City shall provide a statement of work or scope of work for each project, with each project generally being sewer utility work on the public utility system. This work may include, but not limited to: 1. Point repairs on sewer mains and service laterals. 2. New sewer main and service lateral replacement and/or installation. 3. Repair, replacement, and installation of sewer manholes. 4. Cleaning and CCTV inspection of sewer mains and laterals. 5. Pavement restoration associated with sewer work. The allotted time for construction will be agreed upon between the city representatives and the contractor prior to the beginning of work. All materials will be supplied by the city to complete any required work. There shall be a tentative start date of January 1, 2023 and a tentative end date of December 31, 2023.
