Demolition and disposal of existing membrane roofing, insulation and coverboard and select abandoned roof curbs. Patch and repair roof deck. Installation of new insulation (flat and tapered), KEE membrane roofing, fall protection railing and metal flashings and coping. Bid security shall be agreed upon as the measure of liquidated damages which Owner will sustain by failure, neglect or refusal of bidder to deliver a signed contract stipulating performance of the work in unqualified compliance with Contract Documents or furnish the required 100% Contract Performance and Payment Bond within ten (10) days after receipt of Notice of Award. The Board of Regents, State of Iowa seeks to provide opportunities for Targeted Small Businesses in accordance with the provisions of Chapter 73 of the Code of Iowa. This project has a participation goal for certified Targeted Small Businesses. The participation goal of 10% is specified in the Special Conditions The Board of Regents, State of Iowa reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive irregularities and to accept that bid which is deemed in the best interest of the Owner. The project consists of but is not limited to: Removal and replacement of existing EPDM roof and insulation with new fully adhered KEE roof and insulation system. Removal and replacement of flashings, copings, and accessories as required to accommodate full roof replacement. Addition of roof mounted access stairs and guardrail system.
