Description | General Contract or a Single Prime Contract for construction of a renovation of the HVAC and Boiler system at the Stark County Courthouse in Dickinson, North Dakota as described in the Contract Documents as prepared by Prairie Engineering, P.C., Bismarck, North Dakota, Engineer. Mechanical work will consist of providing and installing a new hydronic hot water boiler system, along with terminal heating equipment as described in the Contract Documents. Demolition work consists of removal of all accessible steam and condensate piping, removal of the steam boilers and mechanical steam trim, and removal of terminal heating device elements. Installation may consist of new hot water heating supply and return piping and accessories, terminal heating unit demolition, new terminal unit installation, duct alterations, duct replacement, or duct reconfiguration as required for a full installation of the new hot water heating system. The Mechanical Contractor shall be responsible for daily clean-up, running construction meetings, project coordination between contractors, and project coordination between contractors and the Owners Representative. Electrical work will consist of providing and installing new circuitry and disconnecting means for new mechanical units where required, removing or relocating devices and associated circuitry where impacted by new mechanical systems, provide new devices where applicable due to previously removed devices to meet NEC and local electrical codes, providing air monitoring means for new mechanical equipment where required for communication with the fire alarm system, and providing new lighting and lighting controls in the 2nd floor courtroom to accommodate the new mechanical system. General work will consist of ceiling tile and grid removal and replacement, core drilling, Xray investigation prior to core drilling, demolition and reconstruction of walls to run piping, and generally work ancillary to the mechanical work required for the projects Construction Documents. Each Bid must be accompanied by a separate envelope containing a Bidder's Bond in a sum equal to five percent of the full amount of the Bid, executed by the Bidder as Principal and by a Surety Company authorized to do business in this State, conditioned that if the Principal's Bid be accepted and the Contract awarded to the Principal, the Principal, within ten days after notice of award, will execute and effect a Contract in accordance with the terms of the Principal's Bid and a Contractor's Bond as required by law and the regulations and determinations of the governing board. All Bidders must be licensed for the highest amount of their Bids, as provided by Section 43-07-12 of the ND Century Code. No Bid will be read or considered which does not fully comply with the above provisions as to Bond and Licenses, and any deficient Bid submitted will be resealed and returned to the Bidder immediately. No Bidder may withdraw his Bid within 30 days after the actual opening of Bids. |
