Ullrich WTP Process Drain and Support Systems Improvements

The Work consists of: 1. Parking Lot Improvements: Provide 25 additional perpendicular parking spaces off the plant road in front of the administration building. Restripe one visitor parking space such that one more of the parking spaces is identified as accessible (for a total of three accessible spaces). Also provide covered parking for 4 (four) utility carts. 2. Raw Water Pump Replacement and New Electrical Building: Replace raw water pumps, piping, and valves in the Sludge Handling Facility. Replace the controls and instrumentation on the existing hydropneumatics tank. The work includes all electrical and SCADA work and includes the construction of a new poured concrete electrical building and new ductbanks. Work shall also include bypass pumping during construction to maintain raw water capacity for plant operations. 3. Raw Water Piping Improvements: Raw water piping improvements include a 6” water line from the Sludge Handling Facility to the Sludge Thickener Pump Station and a 12” suction line to the Sludge Handling Facility from Valve Vault No. 9. Work also includes the replacement of a 48” steel tee and a 36” steel fitting in Valve Vault No. 9 to accommodate resizing the raw water pump suction line from an 8” diameter line to a 12” diameter line. 4. Sludge Change-Over Facility: Construct a new Sludge Change-Over Facility, including all piping, valves, appurtenances, electrical and SCADA work, site piping, and poured-concrete building. Work shall include all specified piping rehabilitation, electrical work, and structural work on the Existing Sludge Thickener Pump Station. Work shall also include reconnecting piping from the existing Sludge Change-Over Vault to the new facility and any temporary piping required to maintain plant sludge processing operation. 5. Spill Containment Structure: Construct a concrete containment basin including slide gates, electrical and SCADA work, sitework, gratings and railings. Work includes constructing overflow piping from the plant drain sump lift station to the containment basin and installation of new stormwater piping and manholes to and from the new containment basin to the outfall manhole. 6. Centrifuge Building Fixtures Improvements: Install new 6” potable water line and new fixtures in the Centrifuge Buildings including two new Emergency Shower/Eye-Wash Stations, a new stainless sink and two new hose bibs. The 6- inch waterline will extend along the north service road, connecting the existing plant waterline on the northwest side of the plant to the Centrifuge Building. The waterline will continue from the Centrifuge Building to the existing waterline on the northeast side of the plant, providing the plant with a looped water system. 7. Plant Air System Improvements: Install additional air valves throughout the facility. Replace the compressed air line from Clearwell No. 1 to the Medium/High Service Pump Station. 8. Equipment/Piping Demolition in Administration Building: Demolish abandoned service water pumps, piping, hydropneumatics tank, controls and conduit in the basement of the Administration Building. Provide blind flanges, valves and other appurtenances as specified.
