Description | 1. There shall be no measurement or separate payment for any items not listed on the proposal and all costs pertaining thereto shall be included in the Contract unit prices for other items listed in the Proposal. 2. Prior to any work being performed, the Contractor shall set up a pre-construction conference with the City of Manhattan. 3. Pedestrian access to all residences and businesses shall be maintained at all times. Vehicular access to driveways shall be restricted for no longer than 4 consecutive hours. 4. The Contractor is required to construct all portions of this project by the time set forth in the Contract Documents or liquidated damages will be assessed: within 360 calendar days of the Notice to Proceed. All operations shall be continuous until complete, neglecting nights. Finally, work in these areas at night will need to be coordinated closely with the Engineer. An exception may be given for seeding. The project will include but is not limited to the following major categories of work: Remove and/or replace deteriorated fire hydrants and valves, as well as install new fire hydrants and isolation valves, at various locations throughout the City and other associated work. These bids will be for the furnishing of all labor and materials, and performing all the Work in accordance with the drawings and specifications for: 2023 Hydrant and Valve Replacement Project Questions concerning this bid can be directed to Norm Francis, at 785-587-4583 or by email at francisn@cityofmhk.com.
