Description

The proposed project consists of Phase 1 improvements to the West Cocoa Wastewater Collection, Pumping and Transmission System which includes Lift Station W-09, Lift Station W-22 and the gravity sewer subsystems within Lift Station W-09 service area. A brief summary of the project is presented below: The existing Lift Station W-09 will be demolished and replaced with a new submersible lift station with a 12-foot diameter wet well constructed adjacent to the existing lift station. A short length of new force main will be constructed for Lift Station W-09 and shall connect to the existing 14” force main. The new lift station will include but not be limited to a submersible lift station with 12-foot diameter pre-cast concrete wet well; triplex submersible pumps; piping, valves, fittings and magnetic flowmeter; electrical system with control panel; telemetry system and instrumentation; and an emergency diesel pump. The existing force main from Lift Station W-09 shall pump wastewater generated in the collection area of all lift stations in the West Cocoa wastewater system and will convey this wastewater to the South-Central Wastewater Treatment Plant (SCWWTF) through a series of manifolded force mains. The existing Lift Station W-22 will be rehabilitated by replacing all pumping, piping, mechanical and electrical components including SCADA and other instrumentation. Lift Station W-22 force main manifolds with the force main from Lift Station W-09 and pumps wastewater to the SCWWTF. The project shall include site work and site restoration after construction and erosion control during construction, pumping, piping, mechanical and electrical components, SCADA and other instrumentation and all other incidentals necessary to complete the work in accordance with the Contract Documents.
