Paso Del Norte Street (Shady Oaks)

Work will improve 3 low water crossings and 2 ponding areas in and around Paso Del Norte Street in the Shady Oaks Neighborhood. Two crossings will have the existing RCP removed and will install two 4ft by 2 ft box culverts. One location will involve regrading the street to prevent ponding. One location will have the existing RCP removed and a bridge will be constructed utilizing precast concrete girders with cast-in-place decorative concrete traffic barrier. The last location will involve grading a grass swale on private property to prevent street ponding on the roadway and improve drainage. Rip rap at various locations may either be concrete or rock as shown on the plans. Additionally, there will be joint bid SAWS Water and Sewer improvements on Paso Del Norte and Rio Seco. Tree removal will occur as part of the preparation of the ROW; care will need to be taken to prevent the spread of Oak Wilt.
