| Description | The City of Fontana Public Works Department is inviting proposers to submit bid proposals for Generator Service, Repair, Cleaning and Testing. The Department manages a mixed fleet comprised of 486 vehicles and pieces of equipment. Included in this total are 7 stationary and 6 portable generators. The stationary generators provide emergency backup power to various city buildings, Police Department, Rec Centers and appointed evacuation centers; allowing all departments including Police, Public Works, Community Services, Community Development, Engineering, Building and Safety, Information Technology, Human Resources, City Clerk, Management Services and Administration to continue providing city and emergency services during a power outage. |
