Description

The existing garage is situated below the building, consisting of two and one-half-supported floors and a slab on grade. The garage was built in 1989 and has a capacity of 380 vehicles. The parking garage is rectangular in shape, measuring approximately 340’ x 115’ and typically consists of two parking bays. The east bay is flat while the west bay is ramped to provide traffic flow between the levels. The functional layout of the parking garage is a single threaded helix. A portion of east bay extends below grade beyond the building footprint. The entrance/exit to the garage is located on St. Paul Street. The Condition Assessment Report, submitted to the State of Vermont by Desman Design Management in November 2018, found the structure to be in poor condition, and that it could not be safely used for another five (5) years without major repairs.
