Imperial Beach Pier Enhancements Phase 2

Enhancements at Bents 48-49, including: 1) Construction of existing timber railing along perimeter of existing deck extension, removal and replacement with cable railing with Ipe wood handrail and lighting; and 2) construction of a new canopy structure, construction of steel canopy structure with lighting at existing deck extension. The Contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment, tools, incidentals and disposal as necessary to perform and complete construction in accordance with the Contract Documents. Contractor Work shall include, but not limited to, the following. Demolition and disposal of various timber, steel, electrical, and miscellaneous elements; Rough carpentry; finish carpentry; Installation of structural steel-framed canopy supporting special decorative panels canopy; Installation of cable railing; Lighting installation; Environmental protection; and Other incidental items of work as shown. CONTRACTOR RELEVANT EXPERIENCE: Contractor shall engage an experienced installer who has the following qualifications. If it is determined after award of contract that the installer does not meet all of the following requirements, the Contractor shall submit the name of an installer that meets the requirements. Steel Canopy - Contractor (or sub-contractor performing the work) shall have experience fabricating and/or installing 2 highly detailed steel canopy structures of similar complexity in the past 10 years. Cable Railing - Contractor (or sub-contractor performing the work) shall have Experience fabricating and/or installing 2 cable railing systems in the past 10 years.
