Refuse and Recycling Collection On City Property

The City of Sandusky has many refuse containers distributed throughout the City which require periodic emptying. A schedule of the number of containers, the locations and the minimum frequency of service is attached. As the demand requires, these containers may be moved by the City from one location to another. The contractor may empty the containers more frequently, but as a minimum, he still must empty on the days specified. The contractor(s) shall furnish dumpsters in the size and quantities shown at a specified monthly fee, to be used at those locations identified on the schedule. The City of Sandusky shall supply posts, chains and locks, as needed; to secure the contractor supplied “toters”. The City of Sandusky will move all toters to a central location the morning of pickup at each location. In addition to refuse collection the City also requires the collection of recyclable materials utilizing the same time periods listed. A schedule of the number of containers, their size and location, along with the minimum frequency of service is attached.
