Description | The Project consists of the removal of the existing HVAC Units and replacing with the new HVAC Units. The work involves the removal of the existing HVAC Units and tasks associated with that process. Scope of Work involves complete HVAC upgrade of the four (4) story portion of the building, involving two (2) large rooftop packaged VAV roof top units, distribution ductwork, vav box replacement, corridor ceiling and light replacement. The Owner shall furnish the HVAC units to be installed at the Work Site Location. The work is to be performed at: Lake Taylor High School, 1384 Kempsville Road, Norfolk, VA 23502 This project will consist of two (2) phases. Phase 1: Installation of the two (2) large roof top units and reconnection to existing ductwork, expected to be completed during the Summer of 2023. Phase 2: All of the interior modifications and renovations, including new ductwork, vav boxes, and RCP work, expected to be completed in Summer of 2024. The Contractor shall substantially complete all work for each phase between June 20 and August 31, per the Notice to Proceed date in accordance with the Contract Documents. Final Completion shall be 15 days beyond the Substantial Completion Date. This date is to be stated in the Agreement between Owner and Contractor, and to execute the Agreement in the form of Norfolk Public Schools Agreement between Owner and Contractor, Latest Edition, if notified of award of the contract within forty-five (45) calendar days after the bid opening date. The Undersigned further agrees, if awarded the contract, to execute and deliver Performance and Labor and Materials Payment Bonds on AIA document A312 and 100% of Contract amount. A.
