Description | Rowan County is requesting bids to provide the necessary materials, labor, equipment and supervision to provide a parking area, minimum of 20 marked stalls, as detailed on included exhibits. The project shall include all surveying, site prep, asphalt base and any other identified components required to provide a complete and finished project. Specific bidding instructions and clarification will be provided at the prebid meeting. All bids submitted must meet or exceed the time frame and the product/service specifications as outlined in this Invitation to Bid (ITP). All questions or requests for clarification or additional information must be submitted in writing no later than 5:00 pm on Tuesday, June 14, 2022. All addenda will be posted by 5pm Friday, June 17, 2022. SCOPE OF WORK Rowan County is seeking to install a new asphalt parking area along the service road located behind 3830 Airport Loop, Salisbury, NC 28147 Rowan County requests bids to provide the necessary materials, labor, equipment and supervision to provide a parking area, minimum of 20 marked stalls, as detailed on included exhibits. The project shall include all surveying, site prep, asphalt base and any other identified components required to provide a complete and finished project. Specific bidding instructions and clarification will be provided at the prebid meeting. Detailed Scope of Work: o Furnish the necessary supervision, labor, tools, equipment, and materials to complete the required work as outlined. o The Bidder shall furnish area with ABC if required. o The Bidder shall prep and pave the new area, meeting NCDOT specs for parking areas. o The Bidder shall grade asphalt to allow natural drainage away from all buildings, stabilize the banks of the new parking lot to prevent destabilization. All surfaces shall be level and flat to avoid pooling of water. o The Bidder shall verify any and all measurements pertaining to this project. o Moving of all materials, equipment and all cleaning are to be handled by the Bidder. o The Bidder shall obtain the required permits, surveys, and comply with all laws, ordinances, codes, rules and regulations bearing on the conduct of the work. No time extensions shall be granted or financial consideration given to the Bidder for time or monies lost due to violations of any such ordinance, code, law or regulations that may occur. o Provide parking/wheel stops o Stripe parking stalls with white traffic marking paint. o Restore all disturbed areas affected by the work and remove trash daily. o Work schedule limitations, if any, will be discussed at the Pre-Bid meeting. The following information must be included in the bid: 1. Applicable licensure with North Carolina. (Bidder Information Sheet) 2. Warranty on above work. (Bid Response Form) 3. Bids to be in the form of a proposed contract signed by the bidder. (Bid Response Form) 4. Include separate pricing for all proposed alternates. (Added Pages) 5. Proposed days to complete (Bid Response Form) The pavement section for the existing parking area next to the hangar is 3" Asphalt Concrete Surface Course (S-9.5C) (placed in 2 lifts) over 9" Aggregate Base Course. |
