Description | Scope of Work. 1. The work will include but is not limited to the following: a. Remove existing track surfacing from 8 lane oval track, 1 pole vault pad, 2 long jump runways and high jump pad. Long jump and pole vault locations will be switched with each other whereas high jump will be relocated to the east D-zone. Evaluate track for spot repairs, if possible, in leu of complete removal. b. Saw cut, remove areas that have settled, and replace areas of asphalt and subbase as determined by visual inspection before and after oval track and runways surface removal. c. Remove ACO drain system and replace with new concrete curb. Evaluate all drainage issues and make recommendations for improvement. Roll back existing turf +/-20' to expose underground drain connections. Turf is a Hellas matrix H. Contractor to keep warranty of the turf. New curb and high jump pad will need new nailer board. d. Utilize geotextile fabric at areas prone to cracking such as joints, seams, and existing cracks prior to overlay. e. Add East D-Zone to install a new high jump area. Hard surface and surfacing with same material as track. f. Apply a new synthetic track surface that meets or exceeds the specifications of the RSS-3000 system or equal, consisting of a polyurethane bound SBR rubber base mat, non-porous two component polyurethane seal coat and 2, texturized structural spray coats of polyurethane and black colored EPDM rubber, to the entire oval track, 2 runways for long jump, 1 pole vault, and east D-zone which is the high jump pad. Existing turf will need to be protected when track surfacing is installed. Color of track surfacing to be black. Add alternate will be priced for black track and red exchange zones. g. Paint all colored striping on new surfaces as required and to include all lane markings, numbers, directional arrows, start / finish lines etc. for all events currently performed on track. h. Fully warrant entire track of all materials and workmanship for a minimum of 5 years. The Owner reserves the right to waive irregularities and informalities in the proposals or reject any or all proposals without further obligation and to accept any proposals deemed in the best interest of Laramie County School District Number One. The Owner does not bind themselves in any way to accept the lowest cost proposal. |
