Fernandina Beach Golf Club Driving Range Practice Facility Renovation

Several improvements to the Fernandina Beach Golf Course are anticipated: the driving range, North Course greens (Holes No. 3 and No. 5), and the practice putting green area. Driving Range • Strip and dispose of (on-site) existing sod • Remove existing bulkhead at tee area and shape entire surface to one level • Sod with Certified 419 turf, total area estimated 25,000 sq. ft. • Laser grade with .5% fall, total area estimated 18,000 sq. ft. • Install new irrigation heads (ten) North Course Greens • Strip and dispose of (on-site) existing sod • Reshape green at Hole No. 3 (in accordance with prepared design) • Expand and shape green at Hole No. 5 (in accordance with prepared design) • Sod collars and disturbed areas with certified 419 turf • Install additional irrigation loop at Hole No. 5 • Reshape bunker at Hole No. 5 (in accordance with prepared design) • Final float surfaces Practice Putting Green Area • Preparation of putting green and surrounding area (removal of turf and existing irrigation, as needed) • Core 8” depth remove organics of new putting green area (dispose of on-site) • Shape sub-grade of area, including practice sand bunker, (in accordance with prepared design) • Install new irrigation loop (ten heads) • Provide and install 4” of USGA-grade sand to be mixed into native soil from on-site as rootzone material of the new putting green • Provide and install 6” of bunker sand • Till, compact, and final float entire area of putting green (estimated 7,000 sq. ft.) • Provide and install Certified 419 (estimated 5,500 sq. ft.) • Estimated 100 linear feet of new curb to redirect water from path around the practice putting green • Plant 40 Bushels per 1000 sq. ft. of ultra-dwarf sprigs, variety to be determined Owner
