Description

As of August 11, 2022, the awarded construction manager has released the first bid package. from original solicitation: The City of Celina is soliciting Statements of Qualifications and proposals from qualified construction firms to provide Construction Manager-At-Risk Services, necessary for the construction of City of Celina Police Station, in accordance with the terms, conditions, and requirements set forth in this Request for Proposals (RFP). This RFP provides interested firms with the information necessary to prepare and submit their qualifications, general conditions pricing, and fee for consideration. Budget $13,700,000 Project Time: 14 Months The City strongly requests that bidders submit responses electronically. Electronic bidding eliminates errors, unnecessary work, and is friendlier to the environment. Prospective Bidders are urged to register as a vendor and become a plan holder, even if Bidding Documents are obtained from a source other than the designated website in either electronic or paper format. The City's eProcurement website will be updated periodically with addenda, lists of registered plan holders, reports, and other information relevant to submitting a Bid for the Project. All official notifications, addenda, and other Bidding Documents will be offered only through the eProcurement website. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for Bidding Documents, including addenda, if any, obtained from sources other than the City's eProcurement website. Prospective Bidders may examine or download the Bid Documents anytime online through the eProcurement website. All questions shall be submitted through the eProcurement system. Owner anticipates that the Project's total bid price will be approximately $13,700,000.00. The Project has an expected duration of 14 Months. Bidders must submit with their bids a bid bond in the amount of five thousand dollars, from a reliable Surety Company as guarantee that the Bidder will enter into a contract and execute bond and guarantee forms provided within ten (10) days after notice of award of contract. Checks will not be accepted. The successful Bidder must furnish performance, payment and maintenance bonds each in the amount of 100 percent of the contract price from an approved Surety Company holding a permit from the State of Texas, to act as Surety and be acceptable according to the latest list of companies holding certificates of authority from the Secretary of Treasury of the United States, or other Surety or Sureties acceptable to the Owner. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive formalities. In case of ambiguity or lack of clearness in stating the price in the bids, the Owner reserves the right to consider the most advantageous construction thereof, or to reject the bid. Unreasonable or unbalanced unit prices will be considered sufficient cause of rejection of any bid or bids. Bidders are expected to inspect the site of the work and to inform themselves regarding conditions under which the work is to be done.
