Description | The Memphis Housing Authority is requesting a quote for the prepping of vacant units for gas inspections in order to condition units for upcoming Winter season. The contractor is responsible for any repairs needed to prepare gas piping for pressure test. The contractor shall be responsible for coordinating all inspection with local Code Enforcement for approval of said work. The contractor shall follow all Local, State, and Federal regulations for a turnkey project. MHA recommends, that all potential bidders visit the job site to assess the existing condition and provide a cost for a complete job. MHA reserves the right to award this project in its entirety, partially, or not at all. General Requirements: Active licenses and surety bonds. The Contractor shall provide all the necessary permits, insurance, materials, supplies, labor, equipment, and supervision for a turnkey project. The selected contractor performing the scope of work listed below shall be licensed as required by the State of Tennessee. Scheduled work hours shall be from 8am - 4:30pm, Monday through Friday. All bidders shall visit the site to gain familiarity of the site. The contractor shall perform pressure test on existing gas lines to ensure utilities can be restored to the unit. The contractor shall notify MHA project manager of any required plumbing repairs necessary to pass gas inspection. Contractor is not permitted to begin repair work until approved by project manager. The contractor shall perform all repairs necessary to prepare gas lines for a gas inspection. The contractor shall be responsible for scheduling all inspection with local code enforcement. The contractor shall be responsible for removing all debris daily and ensuring a safe environment for the workers and the residents.
