Lawrence University - Whiting Field Phase 1 - Track and Field Site Redevelopment Project

Sidewalks/Curbs/Gutters, Retaining Walls, Concrete/Formed/Flatwork/Foundation, Buildings and Grounds/Athletic/Sports Facilities, Concrete Pavement, Electrical Installation/Construction, Fencing/Guardrails/Handrails, Excavation, Stormwater Improvements, Irrigation, Landscaping - Seeding, Erosion Control - Temporary, Electrical, Paving (Asphalt or Concrete), Parks, Recreation, Athletic & Aquatic Facilities, Directional Drilling, Sitework/Excavating and Grading, Grubbing & Clearing Description: The work, for which bids are asked, generally includes the following: CONTRACT "A" - GENERAL SITE CONSTRUCTION 1. Running Track and Athletic Field Improvements including stripping topsoil, placing and screening topsoil, earthwork, erosion control, dense graded base, concrete flatwork, storm sewer, asphalt pavement, irrigation, fencing, seeding, sodding, restoration and athletic equipment. 2. Alternate Bids as represented in the Contract Documents. 3. All necessary work to complete the proposed contract as represented in the construction documents shall be included in the CONTRACTOR'S bid. CONTRACT "A, ALTERNATE A1" - REVISED MILESTONE COMPLETION DATES 1. State the amount to be deducted to the base bid with the extended milestone completion dates as indicated in the specifications. 2. All necessary work to complete the proposed alternate as represented in the construction documents shall be included in the CONTRACTOR'S bid. CONTRACT "B" - ELECTRICAL SITE CONSTRUCTION 1. Electrical construction for the site with work including, but not limited to, service, conduits, panels, switches, receptacles, outlets, light fixtures, wiring, re-wiring, site lighting, athletic lighting, excavation, backfilling, compaction, concrete bases, disposal of excess material, and utility coordination. 2. Alternate Bids as represented in the Contract Documents. 3. All necessary work to complete the proposed contract as represented in the construction documents shall be included in the CONTRACTOR'S bid. CONTRACT "B, ALTERNATE B1" - PRESS BOX ELECTRICAL & TELECOMMUNICATIONS 1. State the amount to be added to the base bid to provide electrical and telecommunications to press box as indicated on the drawings and in the specifications. 2. All necessary work to complete the proposed alternate as represented in the construction documents shall be included in the CONTRACTOR'S bid. CONTRACT "B, ALTERNATE B2" - REVISED MILESTONE COMPLETION DATES 1. State the amount to be deducted to the base bid with the extended milestone completion dates as indicated in the specifications. 2. All necessary work to complete the proposed alternate as represented in the construction documents shall be included in the CONTRACTOR'S bid. WORK BY OTHERS Work by others or OWNER that shall be concurrent to work of this contract includes the following: 1. Contract "C" - GRANDSTANDS - Providing and installing grandstands will be procured under a separate bidding process. Work of these contracts shall be coordinated with grandstand construction. 2. Contract "D" - TRACK SURFACING - Providing and installing track surfacing system will be procured under a separate bidding process. Work of these contracts shall be coordinated with track surfacing construction.
