Appleford Sidewalk Repairs

Constructing the Following: All Labor, Materials, Equipment, Services and Incidentals for the Sidewalk Repairs in the Appleford Subdivision as Outlined in These Bidding Documents. The Principal Items of Work Are: * Approximately 148 Square Yards of Removal and Replacement of 4" Thick Concrete Sidewalk at 32 Sites * Approximately 78 Linear Feet of Sidewalk Joint Grinding at 19 Sites * Approximately 21 Linear Feet of Removal and Replacement of Concrete Valley Gutter at 1 Site All Bids Shall Be Lump Sum. Technical Questions About the Work or Project Should Be Directed in Writing to Sammy.harton@greshamsmith.com. A Cashier's Check (Drawn on an Alabama Bank) or Bid Bond for 5% of the Amount Bid (Maximum of $10,000.00) and Made Payable to the City of Helena Must Accompany Each Bid as Evidence of Good Faith. In Accordance With Section 34-8-8. Code of Alabama as Amended, "All Owners, Architects, and Engineers Receiving Bids Pursuant to This Chapter Shall Require the Person, Firm or Corporation to Include His or Her Current License Number on the Bid." It Also States That " It Will Be Necessary for Him or Her to Show Evidence of License Before His or Her Bid Is Considered." No Bids Will Be Considered Unless the Bidder, Whether Resident or Nonresident of Alabama, Is Properly Licnensed and Qualified to Perform the Work Described Herein in Accordance With All Applicable Laws of the State of Alabama. This Shall Include Evidence of Holding a Current Certificate to Engage in General Contracting in the State of Alabama, Issued by the State of Alabama Licensing Board for General Contractors, Montgomery, Alabama, as Required by Section 34-8-2, Code of Alabama (1975). Proof of Insurance Coverages of the Types and Amounts as Set Forth in the Project Specifications Will Be Required of the Contractor, and Any and All Suncontractors, Prior to Beginning Work. This Is a City-funded Project Through the City of Helena. Site Directions: Starting from the intersection of SR-261 and CR-52 head west on CR-52 approximately 0.75 miles then turn right on Hillsboro Parkway. Proceed and turn right on Appleford Rd in 0.11 miles. The Propsed Work Shall Be Performed in Comformity With All Applicable Laws, Rules, and Regulations. All Work Shall Be Completed in Accordance With the Plans for This Project and the Alabama Department of Transportation (Aldot): * Applicable Standard Specifications for Highway Construction, 2022 Edition, * Applicable Standard and Special Drawings for Highway Construction, 2022 Edition, the Right to Reject Any or All Bids Is Reserved.
