Majority of the site work will be below water level in the Lake Lynn Dam pool and will require the successful bidding to install a retaining structure or provide diving team to access the work. Dredge sediment clear of the working area. Install a pipe plug and/or block the opening of the emergency opening and install a backup air filled pipe plug in the principal spillway 30” RC pipe. Remove the existing steel slide gate assembly on the outside face of inlet riser, and later, removal of any existing pipe plugs on the inside of the inlet riser and principal spillway. Prepare concrete riser exterior surface by smoothing surfaces and remove any remaining unneeded slide gate hardware all to receive new attachments. Fabricate stainless steel plate attachment with weld neck flange, connect gate valve to the fabricated attachment, and anchor bolt the whole assembly to the face of the concrete riser.
