The UK King's Daughters HVAC Unit Installation, Medical Office Building A will be managed by UK King's Daughters Medical Center Facilities Construction Manager. The project is generally described as: o The demolition and removal of associated duct work for UK King's Daughters Pain Center Suite o Installation of new ductwork and HVAC roof unit for UK King's Daughters Pain Center Suite o Installation of new split system indoor unit and new split system outdoor unit for UK King's Daughters Oncology Suite o The demolition and removal of associated duct work for UK King's Daughters Mechanical Room o Installation of new ductwork and HVAC for UK King's Daughters Mechanical Room Furnishing of all labor, materials, supplies, tools, appliances, equipment, services, etc., necessary for the construction of PROJECT: UK King's Daughters HVAC Unit Installation, Medical Office Building A, as set forth in the specifications and as shown on the drawings for as prepared by UK King's Daughters Department of Plant Operations and approved by the Department of Supply Chain Operations and under the terms and conditions of this Invitation. The time for completion of this project will be sixty (60) business days (pending material availability) beginning at the issuance of Notice of Awards to the successful General Contractor, which is anticipated to be issued on October 25, 2023. Final Completion shall be obtained no later than sixty (60) business days from start of construction. Upon receipt of the Notice of Award, the General Contractor shall provide working durations for each major portion of the Work to the Construction Manager. Prior to the execution of the Contract, the Construction Manager will review and approve the durations provided by the General Contractor. Liquidated Damages shall be assessed in the amount of $500.00 per calendar day the project fails to reach Final Completion. A 5% bid bond or certified check equal to 5% of the bid will be required for all projects exceeding $40,000, including all alternates, and is to be submitted with the official form of proposal. A 100% payment and performance bond shall be executed for the full contract value of the base bid and any alternates accepted for all projects exceeding $40,000. Bids, upon their receipt by UK King's Daughters Medical Center, Department of Supply Chain Operations, are stamped showing the hour and date received. Bids received after the scheduled closing time for reception of bids will not be considered provided legal and accepted bids have been received on said referenced Invitation. UK King's Daughters Medical Center, Department of Supply Chain Operations, reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive all formalities and/or technicalities where the best interest of the Medical Center may be served. Note: Responses to Written Questions received no later than 10/10/2023 will be provided in an addendum issued on or about 10/11/2023. The apparent low bidder will be requested to meet with the Facilities Construction Manager to review the bid and scope of services. The time and place of this meeting will be announced at the bid opening.
