B.2 STATEMENT OF WORK 1.1 General Requirements Contractor to provide all parts, labor, material, and transportation to make repairs to VAMC Martinsburg Bldg. 500 main lobby area Terrazzo Floor. Floor areas consist of approx. 3750 sf terrazzo flooring and 512 sf Epoxy Flooring located in the adjacent Vestibule. - Strip and clean all foreign matter from the surface to include dirt, waxes, finishes, and sealers. - Seal final product with silicone impregnator that will not change color or appearance of the stone to facilitate cleaning and inhibit staining - Strip or grind epoxy off front lobby terrazzo and elevator lobby terrazzo - Refinish front lobby terrazzo and elevator lobby terrazzo once epoxy is removed - Apply new clear epoxy over the terrazzo - Replace the entry vestibule epoxy floor replacement 1.2 Safety Factors - Safeguards to be put into place protecting adjacent surfaces during restoration to the extent possible by taping edges to protect borders, walls, metal, glass, and other areas - Any debris, trash, or other residual to be kept clean throughout the restoration process and all work areas to left at end of day in a clean and orderly manner - When using any types of chemicals generating high VOC, these must be vented to the outside of the building - Contractor to meet all Federal, State, and Local regulations for the use of, disposal of, and transportation of products utilized in this restoration 1.3 Work Hours: Work to be completed within normal business hours 7:00am - 4:30pm Monday through Friday except for the days listed in 1.4 Contractor shall provide repairs to lobby flooring in accordance with the statement of work.
