Description

As of August 9, 2022, the project has been awarded. A timeline for construction has not been confirmed. Quincy Regional Barge Dock Improvements Work description: The proposed improvement includes but is not limited to the following Work at the City of Quincy Regional Barge Dock located at Mississippi River mile 326 in Lock and Dam Pool 21: Repair of the existing dock sheet pile wall. Increasing the elevation of the dock by construction of a cast-in-place concrete slab, deadman, and wall. Installing HP piles along the face of the dock. Furnishing and placing fill to bring the elevation of the surrounding area up to the new grade. Construction of a new cast-in-place concrete loading pad. Construction of new dock tie-offs. Reconstruction of the hot-mix-asphalt access road at a higher elevation. Relocation of the existing utilities. Installation of erosion control measures. Bidders will be required to provide Bid security equal to five (5) percent of the Bid in the form of a Bid Bond written by a company properly licensed in Illinois, a certified check or a cashiers check. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish a performance and payment bond on forms provided in the Specifications and Contract Documents, equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the total contract price. Bids may be held by the City of Quincy for a period not to exceed 60 days from the date of the opening of Bids for the purpose of reviewing the Bids and investigating the qualifications of Bidders, prior to awarding of the Contract. This contract does not includes a specific DBE/MBE/WBE utilization goal. However, contractors are strongly encouraged to utilize MBE/DBE/WBE companies to perform the work. 275 Calendar days following Notice to Proceed *Information regarding subcontractor bidding has not been disclosed to the content management team at this time.
