Description

As of July 28, 2022, project has not been awarded yet. No timeline of award was established. Bids will be made for replacement of one or both hangar roofs and/or to be accomplished by metal replacement or TPO retrofit. Work respecting the North Hanger located at the Blackwell-Tonkawa Airport is as follows: Proposal A – REPLACE WITH METAL ROOFS Remove 24-gauge metal R panel roof and replace with materials of like kind and quality - 8,385 SF – dispose of all removed materials in authorized landfill or other proper disposal method ? 180 LF of gable trim ? 160 LF of gutters ? 80 LF of ridge cap ? 8,385 SF of 3” vinyl faced insulation ? Remove and cover 6 corrugated skylight panels (3’ x 10’ or 180 SF) ? 2 story for main section – lower elevation on the north end of the building ? Closure strips for panel ends at rake Work respecting the South Hanger located at the Blackwell-Tonkawa Airport is as follows: ? Remove 24-gauge metal R panel roof and replace with materials of like kind and quality - 9,734 SF – dispose of all removed materials in authorized landfill or other proper disposal method ? 240 LF of gable trim ? 160 LF of gutters ? 80 LF of ridge cap ? 9,734 SF of 3” vinyl faced insulation ? Remove and cover 16 corrugated skylight panels (3’ x 10’ or 480 SF) ? 2 story – entire building ? Closure strips for panel ends at rake Proposal B – TPO RETROFIT ? Use same square footage as referenced above for North and/or South Hangar(s). ? Prep the existing roof surface as appropriate and add 1.5” EPS flute fill between the metal ribs ? Add 1” ISO insulation board as additional insulation/recovery board. ? 60 mill TPO membrane, either fully adhered or mechanically attached. ? 20-year minimum warranty ? Delete skylights on both hangars WAGES AND SALARIES. Davis-Bacon wage requirements shall not apply on this project. The Owner reserves the right to withhold the award of the contract for forty-five (45) days from the date of opening the proposals and no award will be made until the necessary investigations are made as to the responsibility of the lowest responsible bidder. Should there be reasons why the contract cannot be awarded within the specified period, the time may be extended by mutual agreement between the OWNER and the BIDDER.
