Description | Remove approximately 820 LF of fencing surrounding the tennis and pickleball courts, including all fence posts, rails, and gates. Replace with like-for-like new commercial grade fencing, posts, rails, and gates to match existing fence dimensions, layout, and materials. All fencing will include Schedule 40 galvanized end posts, line posts and top and bottom rails. All 10 FT-high fencing shall include middle horizontal rails at the mid-point between top and bottom rails. Fence fabric shall be 9- gauge hot dip galvanized. Fence posts shall be set a minimum of 3' deep with minimum 12" diameter concrete. Location of gates and length of fence shall be field verified and discussed/approved by Project Manager prior to commencing work. Successful bidder will need proper contractor or specialty license, register as a vendor in Monroe County, FL, a Business Tax License, Workers Compensation Insurance and Liability Insurance that names Monroe County BOCC as additionally insured on their insurance policies. Insurance Requirements: Workers Compensation Statutory Limits Employers' Liability $100,000 Bodily Injury by Accident $500,000 Bodily Injury by Disease, policy limits $100,000 Bodily Injury by Disease, each employee General Liability $200,000 per Person $300,000 per Occurrence $200,000 Property Damage or $300,000 Combined Single Limit Contractor shall remove and retain all existing windscreens and fence toppers mounted on the existing fences and properly store on-site for re-installation onto new fence. Existing 4-FT high chain-link fences delineating the interior pickleball courts shall remain. Remove and replace any connections between these interior fences and the perimeter court fencing. Contractor shall remove existing perimeter fence fabric, posts, rails, and gates, including all concrete fence post foundations. Remove approximately 760 LF of 10-FT high perimeter fencing and 60 LF of 4-FT high perimeter fencing. Contractor shall properly dispose of all fence materials and debris and provide disposal tickets to the County Project Manager for submission to FEMA. If not included on the disposal ticket, the Contractor must also provide the name of the Deposit site, the ID Number of deposit site, and Permits relating to deposit location. Contractor shall replace approximately 760 LF of 10-FT high perimeter fencing and 60 LF of 4-high perimeter fencing with new fencing, including new fence fabric, posts, rails, and gates, including all new concrete fence post foundations. If any type of fill is used, the Contractor must provide the name, address, and permit information for the source(s) of the fill material utilized. The Contractor must also note if the fill was obtained from a commercial source, regularly maintained stockpile, or borrow pit. If borrow pits or stockpiles were utilized, verification must be provided that they were not expanded horizontally into undisturbed areas. Due to the ground disturbance, the Contractor shall provide the County with the length, width, and depth of the area that is dug up. If the area is a circle, then the diameter and depth of the hole shall be provided. The County must also be notified if the hole is outside of the existing footprint, whether there was any vegetation removal and, if so, how it was placed back. Contractor shall replace two (2) existing 4 FT-wide by 7 FT-high swing gates with new swing gates of the same size and construction, to include new gates gate-frame rails, hinges, and latch hardware. Coordinate new gate location with the County. Contractor shall replace one (1) existing 4 FT-wide by 4 FT-high swing gate with a new swing gate of the same size and construction, to include new gate, gate-frame rails, hinges, and latch hardware. Contractor shall coordinate the new gate location with the County. Contractor shall reinstall the existing wind screens and fence-toppers on the new fences. Contractor shall coordinate the windscreen location with the County. Contractor shall maintain a safe and secure worksite, including the use of temporary fencing to keep members of the public out of construction areas. Contractor shall supply all necessary materials, hardware, tools and vehicles to complete the project and properly dispose of all debris. Contractor shall review and follow attached Exhibit A and Exhibit B for scope of work specifications and additional information concerning the project. |
