Description

A certified check or bid bond in an amount not less than 5% of the bid price for the Contract work will be required from each bidder. The bid security, made payable to the City of Bangor, shall be as described under INSTRUCTION TO BIDDERS. It is expected that the Contractor will order all necessary equipment and materials associated with the project as soon as the contract has been executed to avoid delays when the "Notice to Proceed" is issued. This project is subject to the Foreign Trade Restriction Clause in accordance with 49 CFR 30. Attention of bidders is called to the requirements as to conditions of employment and to procedures under the appropriate sections, as amended, of the laws of the State of Maine. The bidder's attention is directed to the Debarment and Suspension laws of the State of Maine and the Federal Government in accordance with 2 CFR part 180 (Subpart C), 2 CFR part 1200, DOT Order 4200.5 DOT Suspension & Debarment Procedures & Ineligibility. The bidder's attention is directed to Drug-free Workplace requirements as set forth in 49 CFR Part 32. Notice of Requirement for Affirmative Action The proposed development to be accomplished under this contract will be subject to the Federal Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) requirements of 41 CFR Part 60, Executive Order 11246, and Title VI of the Civil Rights Act; and the State of Maine EEO. Title VI Solicitation Notice The Bangor International Airport - City of Bangor Maine, in accordance with the provisions of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 (78 Stat. 252, 42 U.S.C. 2000d to 2000d-4) and the Regulations, hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, disadvantaged business enterprises will be afforded full and fair opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, or national origin in consideration for an award. Notice to Prospective Federally Assisted Construction Contractors - Non-segregated Facilities 1. By submitting a bid/proposal under this solicitation, the bidder or offeror certifies that it does not and will not maintain or provide for its employees any segregated facilities at any of its establishments, and that it does not and will not permit its employees to perform their services at any location under its control where segregated facilities are maintained. The bidder or offeror agrees that a breach of this clause is a violation of the Equal Opportunity clause in this contract. 2.
