A certified check or bid bond in an amount not less than 5% of the bid price for the Contract work will be required from each bidder. The bid security, made payable to the City of Bangor, shall be as described under INSTRUCTION TO BIDDERS. It is expected that the Contractor will order all necessary equipment and materials associated with the project as soon as the contract has been executed to avoid delays when the "Notice to Proceed" is issued. This project is subject to the Foreign Trade Restriction Clause in accordance with 49 CFR 30. Attention of bidders is called to the requirements as to conditions of employment and to procedures under the appropriate sections, as amended, of the laws of the State of Maine.
