Description

The scope of this project shall include: • Demolish concrete and masonry, Including all slabs and foundations, into small sections as required for haul away and acceptance at the landfill. • The Contractor shall be responsible for the protection and preservation of all municipal and public utilities traversing the project site, both above and below ground level, the protection of manholes and manhole covers, valve boxes and other devices serving buildings in the areas and shall pay all costs of repair in the event of damage caused by his work. • All hazardous materials, including asbestos containing materials and lead based paint materials, shall be removed from the sites and disposed in a legal manner in accordance with local, state, and federal rules and regulation. All required reports shall be completed. • All refrigerants of any kind shall be removed from the sites and disposed in a legal manner in accordance with local, state, and federal rules and regulations. All required reports shall be completed. • Contractor shall be responsible to identify all utility service lines, including gas, electrical, water, telephone and any other utility services. Any damage to utility service lines shall be covered under the contractor’s insurance policy. • If, in the process of demolishing a structure, there is a threat to impacting an adjacent parcel, the contractor shall, at a minimum, install proper silt fencing around the denuded area.
