Question Submission Close Date 1/14/2022 2:00 PM MST Project Goals and Objectives Project Goals and Objectives The goal of the UNM-Gallup CTE Project is to update the existing facilities to align with the program needs of Welding Technology, Automotive Technology, and Construction Technology. These facilities, through reorganization and development will: o Upgrade student learning environment overall in labs and classrooms o Reorganize underutilized space to address existing trades needs o Provide more dedicated classroom space to support concurrent course scheduling o Reorganize existing space to give each program necessary storage o Free up lab space throughout each program facility currently supporting storage o Open yard workspace for construction o Improve drainage and construction of Construction Tech roof The project will also address the University's infrastructure needs for today and prospective future. Consideration of existin utility and site will address future growth and needs of each program. Considerations include: o Strengthening interrelationships between various tech trades o Improve marketability of facilities to increase student enrollment o Address vehicle traffic between sites |
