Description

This Project will improve the east side of Hooker Street to allow the same safe and comfortable pedestrian access the Westminster Station infrastructure offers. The City is widening the existing sidewalk to 5 feet without the acquisition of right-of-way. We will be installing bulb-outs for traffic calming and new curb and gutter along the new edge of the sidewalk. We will also be installing 20’ solar pedestrian lights in the right of way at the back of walk. These pedestrian lights will provide a well lit travel way for pedestrian to access Westminster Station from W. 72nd Avenue. This work will compliment additional future improvements to be done as part of the redevelopment of privately-owned parcels of land along Hooker Street.
