Electric Vehicle Charging Stations

Electric Vehicle Charging Stations shall meet, at a minimum, the following specifications and requirements: 1. Weatherproof equipment, including but not limited to resistance to rain, wind, and flooding 2. Use of high quality and visually attractive materials that complement and enhance the existing Brevard County locations 3. Compliance with National Electrical Code, FCC and other relevant codes and regulations for safety and operation 4. Ability to connect to Florida Power and Light along with required permitting 5. Compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) 6. SAEJ1772 Charge connectors with self-retractable cables 7. Fully networked to allow for the management of charging operations including access, pricing, power distribution, and charging notifications 8. Accessible to all members of the public without subscription-based membership 9. Capable of accepting and processing point of sale transaction payments of all major credit cards and ATM cards through a secure system 10. Publicly available information on station location and real-time availability of charging stations 11. Screen display(s) shall be user-friendly and easy to operate. Displays shall be LCD, LED or equivalent, and shall be readable in direct sunlight and at night 12. Level 2 (or higher) charging capacity 13. Security design that is both tamper-proof and vandalism-proof, such as tamper-resistant screws, anti- vandalism hardware, locked enclosures, and graffiti-resistant coating 14. Captures data on all charging operations and provides data to Brevard County in regular, automated intervals 15. Available 24/7 customer support 16. Past performance (minimum three (3) maximum five (5) references)
