Renovations to the Finance Area of the Administration Building of the Maryland Correctional Pre-Release System (MCPRS) Phase II

The Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, supervision, management, tools and equipment necessary to provide the Scope of Work. The project is located within the Finance Department, and adjacent corridors, on the First Floor of the MCPRS building. The total area of work is +/- 4,660 SF and includes but is not limited to: • All floor and wall coverings (outlet faceplates, expansion joints, etc) to be removed prior to demolition; install temporary protection for these locations during demolition and installation; and re-install floor covers to original locations after installation. • Removal of all existing carpeting, where applicable. Existing vinyl flooring to remain. Flooring in Rooms 002, 003, 006, 007 to remain. See A04 for SF • Removal of all existing wall bases, where applicable. • Preparation of all wall surfaces for painting, per the manufacturer’s specifications. • Removal of the suspended ceiling, including the ceiling tiles and grid. Suspension system to remain and to be modified for re-use as needed. Please note that the existing ceiling grid runs continuously over interior partitions in most cases. • All surface mounted ceiling equipment (ceiling fans, speakers, smoke detectors, diffuser and return vents) to be removed or hung in place prior to ceiling demolition and to be reinstalled to their original locations after ceiling installation. Diffusers to be painted to match new ceiling grid. • Install Carpet Tile per manufacturer’s specifications. Refer to plans and Finish Schedule for locations. • Install 1/8”x4” high Resilient vinyl wall base • Paint walls from floor to ceiling (9’-0” AFF): 1 coat primer, 2 coats paint with roller per manufacturer’s specifications. Accent wall to be selected by owner. • Install Ceiling Grid and Tiles at +/- 9’-0” AFF, per manufacturer’s specifications. New Ceiling grid to terminate at Interior partitions. Modify and re-use existing suspension system, as needed
