Addition to an Existing Tilt-up MRO Building

The project shall provide for a 40,000 SF addition to an existing 183,000 SF Maintenance, Repair and Overall (MRO) Facility at Phoenix -Mesa Gateway Airport. The new work is expected to match the existing facility. The existing facility is a 9-inch thick tilt-up concrete facility with furring on the inside. The predominate work is covered with steel beams and wood purlins and plywood deck. The floor slab varies but is expected to be 6-inches thick with some areas at 8-inches thick to accommodate a new mezzanine structure. The existing chiller plant is assumed to be sized to accommodate the addition. The addition would require new air handlers and tie into the existing central plant. There are three SES connection at the facility. Power would need to be supplied to the new area via bus ducts. Additional work includes approximately 100 additional parking spaces, security fence modifications and storm, sewer and water modification. An exterior loading dock and ramp to accommodate a semi-truck will also be included.
